A Utah man allegedly launched a sick sexual assault on a woman he was playing pickleball with after getting worked up over her “revealing” outfit, according to a report.
Nephi Kata, 28, was arrested on Saturday after the victim told police he suddenly snapped and aggressively slapped her twice on her thigh during a friendly match at Vernon Worthen Park in St. George, court documents obtained by ABC 4 said.
The shaken woman tried to leave the park, but the accused creep allegedly grabbed her by the hair, jerked her head back and whacked her buttocks.
She told investigators that Kata carried out the depraved attack over what she was wearing, police said.
Women typically wear athletic dresses with built-in shorts or skorts paired with lightweight tank tops while playing the trendy racket sport.
After the twisted ambush, the accused sicko allegedly sent his traumatized pickleball pal a text message apologizing for his behavior, which left the victim’s body bruised.
Kata was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery and assault.
He was booked into the Washington County Jail and released, jail records show.
