New Jersey plane crash at Cross Keys Airport leaves at least 5 injured

At least five people were injured after a small plane crashed at a New Jersey airport on Wednesday, according to reports.

The call for the “mass casualty” incident came in around 5:30 p.m. for an emergency situation at the Cross Keys Airport in Gloucester County, just over 20 miles outside of Philadelphia.

Some of the injured were being taken away on stretchers.

There were 14 people aboard the plane, ABC6 reported.

The area is notably a popular skydiving destination with the “largest skydiving center in the region” located just two minutes away from the airport.

It is unclear what caused the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
