A police officer was shot in the head in the Bronx on Thursday night, according to sources.
The cop was struck near Paulding Avenue and East Gun Hill Road just before 10:30 p.m., law enforcement sources said.
One suspect was taken into custody, sources added.
The officer’s condition is not immediately clear.
“Due to a police investigation, please avoid the area of Paulding Avenue and East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx,” the NYPD posted on X.
