A 67-year-old Chick-fil-A employee survived a car crash in Georgia — only to die soon after when she plunged into a hidden “deep well” while trying to get help, authorities said.

Shirley Obert mysteriously vanished after crashing her car in Monroe County, just outside Atlanta, on Saturday morning, according to the local sheriff’s office.

Authorities quickly blasted out alerts urging those in the area to be on the lookout for her — noting that Obert, who was wearing her red Chick-fil-A uniform at the time, had just been involved in the wreck.

Some 24 hours later, authorities provided a grim update.

“The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has located Mrs Shirley Obert. It is not the outcome that we were hoping for,” they said.

“She was found deceased at the bottom of a deep well that was surrounded by very thick brush, near where her car was found.”

“Mrs. Obert appeared to have been trying to go for help when this incident occurred. This appears to be a tragic accident,” the sheriff’s office added.

“Please keep her family and her co-workers in your thoughts and prayers.”
