Exclusive | Bigwig SF real estate investor charged in sickening underage online chatroom sting

A powerful California real estate investor weaponized an online sex ring in the vile pursuit of his underage victims, prosecutors claimed.

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins slapped a slew of charges on investment property honcho Reuben Teague, 50, for his alleged participation in a dramatic online child sex ring sting conducted by the San Francisco Sheriff.

The San Francisco millionaire is a former vice president at Prudential Financial, where he oversaw a large portfolio of responsible real estate and social impact investments before becoming the executive director for PGIM, Prudential’s global asset management business.

San Francisco Sheriff Paul Miyamoto said Teague was one of five men arrested in the sting.

Miyamoto said terrifying online child sex perverts come from all walks of life.

“That is an important reminder that there is no single profile of someone who commits these crimes,” said Miyamoto. “One of the biggest lessons from the operations like this is you never truly know who is behind a computer screen. (Teague holds an economics degree from Princeton University and a law degree from the NYU School of Law.)

But investigators say the top real estate exec is actually an online child sex predator who used the web to lure his underage victims for sick meetings with the intention of committing even more vile crimes.  

Undercover officers snared accused sexual deviant Teague in an Internet Crimes Against Children Undercover Chat Operation conducted Wednesday and Thursday last week, according to court documents.

The honeypot operation sought to capture perverts who used online platforms to exploit and meet children for sexual purposes by using undercover officers who posed as the children’s pimps.

The accused real estate sicko believed he was participating in a online kid sex ring and messaged with the undercover officers using graphic, sexual language indicating his intent to engage in sexual conduct with children, according to prosecutors.

Teague messaged and requested to meet up with a child in person with undercover officers who provided the address of a location in San Francisco, where he showed up. He walked into the honeypot house where San Francisco Sheriff deputies stunned him by placing him in handcuffs and telling him he’d been busted.

Teague was arraigned Monday on two felony counts of meeting a minor for lewd purposes, two misdemeanor counts of arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes and one misdemeanor count of resisting a peace officer.

He’s being held in police custody.

Teague did not respond to requests for comment from The California Post. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied all allegations against him at his arraignment. His attorney did not respond to calls for comment.

The DA’s sting operation also resulted in the arrests of and charges against accused perverts Jorge Nieto, 27, of San Francisco; Michael Pauter, 43, of San Mateo; Jhonny Rodriguez Diaz, 37, of Redwood City; and Romuald Santiago, 32, of Daly City.
