A father and son were killed when a tree toppled on them as they tried to shelter from a severe storm on a Georgia golf course, cops said.

Matthew Terrell Collins Sr., 58, and his 29-year-old son, Matthew Terrell Collins Jr., had been playing a round at the Bull Creek Golf Course in Midland when the storm rolled through Sunday afternoon, 11Alive reported.

The pair hunkered down in their golf cart when the tree suddenly crashed down on them, according to authorities.

Both suffered blunt-force trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp was among those to pay tribute to the duo, calling their deaths “tragic.”

“Marty, the girls, and I are saddened by the tragic deaths of two Georgians in Muscogee County today as a result of the severe weather,” Kemp wrote on X.

“We ask that you join us in keeping their loved ones in our thoughts and prayers, along with all those responding to storm damage.”
