A heartless thug shoved an elderly woman to the ground and stole her cane outside of a downtown Manhattan Target on Thursday afternoon, according to cops and sources.
Police responded to an assault outside a Target located on East 14th Street and Union Square East, around 3:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.
Officers discovered an 88-year-old woman had been pushed to the ground by an unidentified individual in front of the major retailer and had her cane snatched from her, cops and sources said.
The woman suffered pain throughout her body and was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition, police added.
No arrests have been made yet, and the incident remains under investigation.
