New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was booed multiple times at the 2025 Ryder Cup on Long Island Wednesday – and even a joke from talk show host Carson Daly couldn’t quell the jeers.

Golf fans attending the opening ceremony ahead of the US’s matchup against Europe unleashed on the Democratic leader as she walked on stage at the Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, according to social media footage.

“You’re the worst,” one attendee shouted.

Daly, who brought Hochul out, tried to quiet the crowd by joking she isn’t NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, but it didn’t help much, according to the Athletic.

Hochul then asked the crowd to give an ovation for Team USA that dampened the boos briefly, according to the outlet.

As she left the stage, Daly reportedly quipped, “That went well.”

But fans’ ire toward Hochul kept going.

When other speakers, including US Ryder Cup team Capt. Keegan Bradley, gave Hochul shoutouts, the boo birds were quick to follow.

“Get outta here Kathy,” another golf fan screamed.

Upstate New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, who is eyeing a challenge of Hochul next year, reveled in the incumbent’s time in the rough.

“FIRE HOCHUL,” the Republican tweeted. “SAVE NEW YORK.”

Hochul’s office skirted around the unfriendly reception in a statement to The Post.

“Governor Hochul is proud to bring three elite golf tournaments to New York over the next decade,” a spokesperson said.

“The Governor remains committed to ensuring a world-class experience for the more than 250,000 spectators who will enjoy Bethpage State Park and all the region has to offer in the years ahead.”

Long Island has become increasingly Republican in recent years.
