A dark-colored Mercedes-Benz crashed into the side of a home in Hicksville on Long Island Saturday, smashing a wall, breaking a gas line and coming to rest in a living room.

A woman inside the West Street home was injured in the 4:30 p.m. crash, which decimated the side of the structure — from which screams could be heard emanating.

The home’s occupant had to be removed  through a window before being taken by ambulance to the hospital.  Her condition was not immediately known.

“This car came past me and startled me because it was so close,” explained witness Wayne Burke, who was parked at the intersection at Woodbury Road.

“She accelerated through, bounced across the road and went through two properties, and fully went into the house.

“It was almost like a video game,” Burke added. “The car hit the curb, went in the air, bounced two or three times, and entered the house and disappeared. It was surreal.”

Burke told The Post he could hear screaming coming from inside, but wasn’t sure if it was the driver or someone else in the home.

Photos taken at the scene showed the car’s driver’s side door had been removed.

Inside the damaged home, the Mercedes could be seen surrounded by, and covered in, splintering debris and

The name of the female driver was not available at press time.

The Post also learned a baby was inside the house when the crash occurred, but was not harmed.

Neighbors reported detecting a strong gas odor in the area soon after the crash.

It was unclear what caused the crash.

The Mercedes also clipped a trailer and two snowmobiles parked in the driveway before crashing through the wall.

A Suffolk County Police spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
