An out-of-control driver rammed into two kids and one adult outside a Queens charter school during the Thursday evening rush – leaving a 7-year-old girl with a broken femur, police said.
A 35-year-old woman was driving a Nissan Versa on 35th Avenue near 37th Street in Astoria around 5:30 p.m. when she reversed and struck a box truck – before spinning out onto the sidewalk in front of Our World Neighborhood Charter School, authorities said.
Three people in the path of the sedan were struck – including the 7-year-old girl, who also suffered a head injury; a 14-year-old girl with leg injuries; and a 58-year-old man with bruises and pain to his legs, police said.
The victims were taken to local hospitals. It was not immediately clear whether the victims are related.
The motorist was taken into custody but had not been charged by Friday afternoon, police said.
The crash came less than a week after Brooklyn wigmaker Miriam Yarimi, 32 – who cops said was driving her Audi A4 on a suspended license – allegedly mowed down mom Natasha Saada and her three children, Diana, 7, Deborah, 5, and 4-year-old Philip on Ocean Parkway.
Natasha and her two daughters were killed, and Philip remains in critical condition.
Yarimi, who was arraigned on manslaughter charges, told cops she was “haunted inside” after the crash, prosecutors revealed Thursday.
