Two Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority employees were arrested over their alleged involvement in leaking surveillance footage of last week’s deadly midair aircraft collision to CNN.
The staffers are accused of making an unauthorized copy of Airports Authority records and are facing charges of computer trespass, ABC News reported.
The Wednesday night collision between a Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines passenger jet killed everyone on both aircraft as the wreckage landed in the Potomac River.
CNN obtained exclusive videos last week that gave a closer look at the disaster in the sky that shows the chopper darting in from the left side of the screen as the American Airlines flight approached the airport.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
