A young woman was found covered in various torture wounds inside the stairwell of a Bronx apartment building and later died in the hospital — and now cops are seeking her at-large boyfriend for questioning, according to cops and sources.

The 21-year-old woman was found with head-to-toe stab wounds, puncture wounds, razor marks, large lacerations, and other injuries indicating she was tied up and possibly beaten with a hammer, according to sources.

The butchered victim was found by cops on the staircase of a Fordham Heights apartment building just before 3 p.m. Tuesday. She was rushed by EMS to BronxCare Health System, where she was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.

The 21-year-old’s supposed boyfriend was seen on cameras exiting the Bronx building, according to sources.

He is still at large and currently being sought by police as a person of interest.

Cops currently have a 54-year-old woman believed to be his mother in custody after encountering her at the scene.

Officers originally interviewed the mom as a witness who found the bloodied woman, but spotted a trail of blood leading to a room in her apartment — raising suspicion that she could somehow be involved in the grisly crime, sources said.

The woman was found to have a garbage bag with blood-soaked clothes inside and quickly became uncooperative with investigators, according to the sources.

She was seen attempting to dispose of the bag, sources said, which could garner evidence tampering-related charges.

Police are seeking a search warrant for the apartment.
