Newly surfaced video captures the shocking moment a juvenile driver struck a crowd of people in a deadly Saturday night crash that killed three people and injured multiple others in Oakland.
In the footage, the driver speeds down the road before slamming into victims and vehicles gathered on the sidewalk near a liquor store.
Witnesses said the suspect then tried to flee the scene but was stopped by bystanders before police arrived and arrested him.
The horrific crash happened just before 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of International Boulevard and 85th Avenue, according to the Oakland Fire Department.
Officials pronounced three victims dead at the scene. Three others were taken to a hospital, including two who were said to be in critical condition.
